I created Cairngorms Waterfall Abstract as a tribute to the raw, elemental energy of the highland landscape. In my minds eye I stood beside a tumbling waterfall in the Cairngorms, listening to the thunder of the falling water, the spray suspended in mist, the moss clad rocks glowing in soft Scottish light. Using sweeping, gestural brush marks I sought to capture not just the physical form of the waterfall but its rhythm, motion
